Three Rivers Behavioral Health Employee Honored by Lt. Governor with Media AwardWEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – (Nov. 5, 2009) – Three Rivers Behavioral Health has announced that one of its employees, Professional Relations Representative Janet Haladay, has received the 2009 Media Award, Broadcast News from South Carolina Lt. Governor Andre Bauer’s Office on Aging for her work producing and broadcasting “Senior Connections.” “Senior Connections,” a television show airing in South Carolina, provides information about issues relevant to seniors and caregivers as well as the resources that are available to them. Haladay has represented Three Rivers Behavioral Health as the Senior Adult Professional Relations Representative for more than five years. She educates the community and markets the senior adult program at Three Rivers to professionals in more than nine counties in South Carolina. “Janet’s work with ‘Senior Connections’ exemplifies her commitment and passion for the senior adult population,” said Three Rivers CEO Jeff Barnett. “Her consistent advocacy and contributions have led to the success of the senior adult unit expansion at Three Rivers.” Launched on Jan. 1, 2008, the first thirty-minute “Senior Connections” program was targeted toward seniors and those dealing with senior issues in the Midlands. Now in its third year, “Senior Connections” has produced more than 40 shows, making it one of the area’s most successful locally-produced programs.
